I worked on two major FPS franchises in 2010 with work in both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo: Reach.

Halo: Reach Defiant Map Pack Announced!

Halo: Reach Defiant Map Pack was announced today (Feb. 14th 2011) and comes out in March. I did some environment art on Highlands and was the art lead for the Condemned spaceship map.

Condemned Description: Condemned takes place aboard Orbital Station Gamma, a massive space station high in orbit above the planet Reach. Prior to the Covenant’s overwhelming invasion, Orbital Station Gamma provided long range communications for UNSC fleets and a vital lifeline between Reach and Earth. During the Battle of Reach, the station suffered terrible punishment at the hands of the Covenant but a few fortified sections remain intact, fully pressurized, and ready for combat. Condemned supports 6 – 12 players in a variety of action-packed game types, including Team Slayer, Team Objective and Free for All.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Shipped!

I worked an environment artist on the multiplayer map, Havana. Originally, this map was set in Cairo, Egypt but Treyarch decided to tie it thematically into their Cuban singleplayer. I received the map after blockout and went about the task of transforming it from Egypt to Cuba. No Cuban art assets were made at the time, so a lot of the style of this map was later propagated throughout the single player campaign as well.

Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike Map Pack Shipped!

On this map pack I helped out with some environment art on the Zombie map, Ascension. It is a Russian cosmodrome launch center being invaded by zombies. I did prop modeling and texturing, some building interior/exteriors, and some skybox work.

Now, for an even busier 2011. I’m currently training to become a badass concept artist at Jason Manley’s school called “The Art Department” in Austin, TX. Here’s the link: http://www.theartdepartment.org

I’m also going indy, working on an iPhone/iPad adventure game with my good friend Steve Massey which we’re hoping to release around mid-year.

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 3

Here is some work from the August release of Map Mack 3 for Call of Duty: World at War. I worked as an Environment Artist on a multiplayer map based called Battery. Mike Clopper was the Level Designer for the map. The map is based loosely off of Fort Drum, “the concrete battleship” from WWII on El Fraile Island, Phillipines. Call of Duty: World at War DLC #2 Shipped

DLC #2 just came out for COD:WAW on Xbox 360 and PS3. Certain Affinity made the 3 MP maps that shipped with the map pack.

I worked on the map, Banzai, as an Environment Artist with Steve Massey starring as Level Designer. You can download the entire map pack on Xbox Live or PSN. Go check it out!

Call of Duty: World at War (360 / PS3 / PC)

Activision and Treyarch tapped Certain Affinity to co-develop the multiplayer for this latest Call of Duty game. I worked with a highly talented team of designers and artists on 3 shipping multiplayer maps: Downfall, Outskirts, and Roundhouse. During the project, I performed a hybrid of level design and environment art duties. Here are some samples of areas that I worked on for Call of Duty: World at War.
